North Woods, a duo from the Boston area, is a collaboration between two individual singer-
songwriters who brought their different styles together to create their own unique sound.
Sherry Aviles and Christina Thomas Taylor created North Woods in 2016. Their mix of rock, folk, entwining harmonies, use of exotic instruments and a touch of classical influences defies classification but offers a satisfying, sometimes haunting sound that is uplifting and thought provoking. With their music ranging from sparse and thoughtful to layered and full, their songs delve into the nature of the mind, yearning and relationships, as well as
